Insomnia is difficultly getting to sleep or staying asleep for long enough to feel refreshed the next morning. It’s a common problem thought to regularly affect around 1 in every 3 people. Persistent Insomnia can have a significant impact on your quality of life
Acupuncture for Insomnia
In Chinese Medicine there are a number of types of Insomnia, including:
- Sleep onset or difficultly going to sleep
Middle of the night, or waking and unable to get back to sleep right away
Terminal or late Insomnia, or waking in the very early morning and cannot return to sleep again
Inability to sleep, in general
Each of these particular types of Insomnia indicates a unique energy imbalance in Chinese Medicine unlike any of the others. No one type of Insomnia will ever be treated in exactly the same way during Acupuncture, each is related to a particular imbalance. Many patients report calmness and relaxation they’ve never experienced in and long time.
Along with Kore Therapy, relaxing Aromatherapy oils and relaxing back massage (Cupping) I have had excellent results.
