How I got into Traditional Chinese Medicine

Hello and welcome to my first blog post.

I wanted to take the time to introduce myself and tell how you how I first became qualified in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).

So by way of an introduction… my name is Jodie Wilson and I specialise in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Complementary Therapy. I am qualified in Acupuncture (Clinical and Cosmetic), Aromatherapy, Chinese Cupping, Gua Sha (Facial) and Kore Therapy.

I first qualified in Aromatherapy Massage back in 2007 and from 2003 to 2015 I worked within the Healthcare profession, but on the Administration/Sales side. I worked for an Aromatherapy company called the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists and two Pharmacies – LloydsPharmacy and Holland & Barrett. During this time I also got married and had two beautiful children.

After having my second child, I suffered terrible with headaches and migraines. After three weeks of constant pain and painkillers weren’t helping, I was desperate for help! I found a lovely lady who does Traditional Chinese Medicine and I called her for help. This is where I found out about Acupuncture, Cupping and Kore Therapy, I was instantly amazed!

The treatment was brilliant and my headache went instantly. I fell in love with the therapies so much, the next day I booked onto the same Acupuncture, Cupping and Kore Therapy courses – and I haven’t looked back since!

The reason why I love Traditional Chinese Medicine so much is it is a complete medical system that is capable of diagnosing and successfully treating a wide range of conditions and healing the whole person, body and soul.

I am also able to offer Holistic Facials (Gua Sha and Cosmetic Acupuncture) where these treatments hydrate, tone up and boosts the skin’s supply of nutrients and oxygen, thus decreasing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and blemishes. The overall result gives you a more youthful appearance and within the need of cosmetic surgery, botox injections, collagen injections and laser/chemical peels!

I aim to keep my prices low and affordable and work from home in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

I would love to hear from you, and show you how these treatments can help you, so please get in touch.

Jodie x
